K12 Curriculum

Cyber Workforce has a catalog of courses to provide a full program of study that equips students for a career in cybersecurity.

What courses are included?

We have worked with industry partners to identify the knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to succeed in cyber. Based on their insight, we developed courses, complete with all lessons, labs, and assessments, to prepare students for employability.

  • Principles of Information Technology - This course initiates learners into the foundation of computing, where they explore essential concepts such as hardware, networking, operating systems, and security.

  • Foundations of Cybersecurity - Delve into the crucial aspects of digital protection, privacy, threat detection, and network security. This course builds a robust framework for identifying and mitigating digital vulnerabilities.

  • Networking & Digital Forensics - This specialized course prepares learners to manage and secure enterprise networks, emphasizing the importance of governance, risk, and compliance, alongside practical skills in network security, cloud solutions, digital forensics, incident response, and cyber law.

  • Cybersecurity Capstone - This course integrates concepts and provides learners with the ability to apply their knowledge in dynamic scenarios, including risk management, cryptography, and ethical hacking.

  • Cyber Fundamentals - This accelerated course focuses on the crucial knowledge and skills included in the Foundations of Cybersecurity and Cybersecurity Capstone courses. The framework of this course is agile to meet the timelines of various learners.

What does each course include?

Each course is divided into topic-based modules. Every module contains lessons, checks for understanding, labs, and exams. The full curriculum is housed in the cloud, so students can access everything from a Chromebook, laptop, or desktop computer.

Labs utilize virtual machines, giving students access to both Windows and Linux operating systems, all from your regular classroom devices.

What kind of teacher support is included?

We know firsthand how challenging it can be to find a cyber expert to teach, so we created curriculum that doesn't need a cyber expert. The content contains everything students need to become proficient. That said, we believe high-quality instructors make all the difference. We provide initial training, professional development, and ongoing support to ensure teachers have everything they need to support students in our curriculum.
